Worship at Family of Faith United Methodist Church is a vibrant and transformative experience, where tradition meets joy and deep spiritual connection. Our worship services are a place where everyone, regardless of background or experience, is invited to encounter the living presence of God. Whether you're familiar with liturgical practices or new to the Christian faith, we strive to create an environment where all feel welcome, included, and inspired.

Rooted in Tradition, Lived with Joy

As a United Methodist church, we honor the rich traditions of the Christian faith. Our worship services follow a traditional Methodist structure, incorporating key liturgical elements such as scripture readings, hymns, prayers, and the sacraments of baptism and communion. These elements are more than rituals—they are expressions of our shared faith and opportunities to encounter God in meaningful ways.

But at Family of Faith, worship is not just about following a set order; it’s about living out our faith in joyful, dynamic ways. Our praise band, made up of volunteer musicians from a wide range of ages, brings energy and enthusiasm to every service. They lead us in songs that lift our spirits and unite us in worship, with a mix of contemporary worship songs and beloved hymns that connect the generations. We believe that worship should be lively, engaging, and heartfelt, and our praise band embodies this philosophy in every note they play.

The Sacraments: A Living Connection

Worship at Family of Faith is deeply centered around the sacraments—Baptism and Communion—which are at the heart of our spiritual life together. In Baptism, we celebrate the moment a person is welcomed into the family of Christ. It’s a sacred moment, whether it’s a child, a teen, or an adult, and it reminds us all of God’s love and grace that is poured out generously to everyone.

The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is another cornerstone of our worship life. We gather at the table to share in this sacred meal, a reminder of Jesus’ love, sacrifice, and invitation to new life. Communion is open to all who seek to experience the grace and presence of Christ, and no one is turned away. It’s a tangible way we connect with God and one another, remembering that Christ is the host and we are all invited into His grace.

A Place for Families

At Family of Faith, worship is a family experience. We encourage families to worship together, regardless of age, so that everyone can be a part of the full worship experience. Children are welcome in the sanctuary to participate in singing, praying, and listening to the message. For younger children (preschool through 5th grade), we offer a special Junior Church time after the first scripture reading, where they dive into Bible stories, enjoy activities, and have a snack. All of our teachers have been trained in safe sanctuary practices, so parents can rest assured that their children are well cared for. Worshiping together helps your children be rooted in tradition and community.

Worship as a Community

Worship at Family of Faith is never a solitary act; it’s a communal experience. We come together as a body of believers to praise, pray, and reflect. It’s in the shared moments of worship, whether through song, scripture, or communion, that we are united in our faith and strengthened for the journey ahead. Each person brings their unique story, experiences, and struggles, and when we gather in worship, we carry each other’s burdens and celebrate each other’s joys.

Our worship is also a reflection of our commitment to being a beacon of light, peace, and hope in the world. Each Sunday, as we share the message of God’s love, we are reminded of our calling to go out and be that light to those in need. Our worship doesn’t end when the service is over—it continues through our actions in the world, from serving our neighbors to participating in community events like PRIDE Week and the Thanksgiving food drive.
